Jordan Esmond Calderon

Jordan Esmond Calderon is a current undergraduate Vocal Performance major at Rutgers University - Mason Gross School of the Arts. Originally from Morris County,
New Jersey, Jordan is a Countertenor and has experience singing genres involving choral music, to opera, art songs, and to musical theatre. Started voice lessons at age 12,
Jordan has placed and won many NATS singing competitions, with some being first place in both categories in Musical Theatre and Classical. Jordan has also participated in many choral ensembles throughout her high school years, including NJSMA and NJMEA choirs.

First starting off as a flautist, Jordan started playing the flute in 5th grade back in elementary school. Since then, her musical journey has never stopped since, later on
teaching herself and gaining proficiency in Piano, Basic Ukulele, and Guitar. She also has mastered training and proficiency in Music Theory and Aural Skills.

Jordan is currently a member of the Rutgers University Kirkpatrick Choir, singing predominantly Alto I and II. She also offers her time to be a part of student theatre productions across campus, serving as an orchestra pit musician playing the piano/keyboard.

While Jordan’s main passion is music, her other passions and hobbies include reading, shopping, cooking, as well as hanging out with friends at the mall, hanging out in nature, and spending her time with her family.
