Mr. James Knapik

        James Knapik is a graduate from Mason Gross School of the arts at Rutgers University, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, received in May 2023. He currently holds positions teaching private and group woodwind classes throughout the Arlington Public School district in Arlington, Massachusetts. Although James now works and resides in the state of Massachusetts, he remains connected to some students in New Jersey as a virtual lesson instructor.

 

        Growing up in New Jersey, James gained a passion for music at a young age through participating in several school and community programs. He continues to enjoy performing in community and professional groups as a clarinetist and woodwind doubler in addition to his teaching career. While woodwinds are James’ primary focus, he has expanded interest and experience teaching other instruments,  including piano, ukulele, guitar, brass instruments, percussion, and strings. Outside of music, James enjoys creating visual art and taking frequent visits to art museums.
